A family business, still run like one.
Tanradio was founded in 1980 by Henry Tan (陈瑞发) on Jalan Jaafar, Kota Tinggi. The signboard read Syarikat Tan Radio & TV — a small shop selling radios, televisions, and the appliances that made a Malaysian home in the 1980s.
His wife, Theresa How, set the standard that defines the company to this day: every customer who walks out should feel they were genuinely cared for.
Forty-five years later, Tanradio operates twelve branches across Johor (with Muar opening next), a wholesale division, and an online presence on Shopee — over 150 team members serving customers across every channel. The second generation — Philip, Andrew and Matthew — now runs the business, but the way we treat customers hasn’t changed.
